Some businesses don’t need a total rebrand, they need visuals that finally show the depth, heart, and hard work behind what they do. This 4-hour, custom, branding photography session for a flower market was designed to do exactly that, capturing not just beautiful blooms, but the people, process, and purpose behind a long-standing, family-owned business.

Branding Photography for a Flower Market That Highlights People and Process
This photoshoot needed to go beyond what was obvious on the surface. Wholesale Flower Market is more than a flower shop! Brand Gloss was able to dig deeper.
Their biggest challenge online wasn’t the product, it was capturing the human, service-driven side of the business. The hustle, the teamwork, the education, and the care behind every order. The goal was to visually communicate how they work, not just what they sell, in a way that felt engaging, honest, and alive.
To do that, the imagery was intentionally designed to showcase their full client experience, from walk-in customers browsing the cooler to hands-on DIY consultations led by Emily. Every step of their process, from sourcing flowers directly from farms to maintaining the cold chain, conditioning stems, and preparing orders for pickup, plays a role in what makes Wholesale Flower Market special.

This approach created a versatile image library that could support:
- A full website refresh
- Social media and email marketing
- In-store signage
- Future marketing campaigns
A major focus of this shoot was showcasing how Wholesale Flower Market works with clients, not just what they sell.
From walk-in customers browsing the cooler to hands-on DIY consultations, the imagery was designed to reflect their approachable and friendly process. Each step of their process makes their experience with customers special.
We intentionally photographed:
- The DIY flower consultation process
- Behind-the-scenes order pulling and prep
- Sister moments that highlight Leigh and Emily’s partnership
- The rhythm and pace of a busy workday
The result is a visual story that reflects both the grittiness of the work and the warmth of the people doing it, something the team was deeply intentional about preserving.

Personal Styling for Branding Photography in the Floral Industry
Because Wholesale Flower Market’s brand is visually rich by nature – with vibrant florals, bold murals, and primarily black and white interior, wardrobe styling needed to be understated, thoughtful, and aligned – never distracting.
Working alongside stylist partner, Jessica Zimmer of J. Zimmer Style, the goal was to choose clothing that complemented the environment rather than competed with it.
“I knew I wanted to put them in soft muted colors and neutrals that would warm up the contrast of the black and white interior, without taking away from the beautiful flowers,” Jessica shared.
To keep the neutrals from feeling flat, Jessica played with different textures. Silk pants, lace layers, sheer fabrics, denim, studded belts, and a little bit of gold. It all adds just enough depth and interest without stealing the spotlight.

Beyond aesthetics, the styling also reflected a deeper shift within the business. As Leigh and Emily step into new leadership roles and usher Wholesale Flower Market into its next chapter, Jessica was intentional about choosing looks that felt modern, comfortable, and relevant.
“I wanted to highlight their individual skills and strengths while also complementing one another — showing them as a team,” Jessica explained.
That balance of individuality and unity became a visual extension of their partnership and the brand they’re continuing to build together. We are so excited to see how their business grows!

Branding Photography in Chesapeake, Designed to Work Hard
One of the clearest creative goals of this photoshoot was to avoid the overly stylized, stock-photo look that is often seen in the floral industry. Especially floral shops!
The final gallery gives Wholesale Flower Market a robust library of images that can grow with them, supporting their marketing now and setting the foundation for what’s next.

Your Brand Deserves More Than Stock Photos
This is what happens when your branding photoshoot is built around strategy, not just aesthetics or what you see online. Real imagery that reflects who you are, connects with your ideal clients, and gives you content that works as hard as you do.
If your current photos feel generic, outdated, or like they’re working against you instead of for you, it’s time for a refresh.
